Description Of You Poem by Leslie Alexis

Words of the heart,
these poetic mosaics of mine,
Fail to truly describe
The treasure my eyes behold;
You are fire furnished gold.
....
My lady, I say:
Hats off to the creator of you.
Creator of beauty:
The bright and the astounding,
The great and the amazing.

He who made the stars,
He who made the rainbow,
He who made the universe,
He made you.

Spoke, he spoke into being
Those other things;
But you were handcrafted.
He made you with skill.
He made you with pride.
He made you with heart.

He made you,
And at the end
He said:
‘It is finished -
This is good'!

And in his words,
And his alone,
Holds the true description of you.
