Desert Night Sings Lullaby For Me Poem by Dr Shamim Ali

Desert Night Sings Lullaby For Me

The vast luminosity of the desert day slowly dropping sun
More than an illusion or dream splendour intense and on fire
Seemingly hangs unmoving over the far horizon,
Unless you have felt and seen starlit magic in the air
On a desert night, sparkling stars hang in the night sky
Mutely swirls the desert nightlife to play, the little star eyes
A blaze is a golden moon; reach up and grab it
Open and close the eye to promise assurance for a while.
The far-off mountain range denotes the power to entice
The unruffled heartbeat of desert nightlife with
a heart of amiable music, rhythmic clear.
A fresh evening breeze springs to life,
Confer much-needed coolness to the desert cactus&succulents
eternal fight for life. only a lonely wanderer can understand
On a scenic, cool night, you feel you could fly to heaven
On a sweet, desert night that turns to dawn too soon
The real appeal and intense shadow of the great enchanting
Where the solemn magic of the moon sings a lullaby
makes a desert night like a warm cradle of love
A gentle breeze sings; time just stops, and the world goes by
causing each fleeting, dancing shadow to seem ever-changing,
Beautiful desert wonder night. I love to listen to the lullaby
The desert night: 'May loveliness and magnificence
I Amble with you ceaselessly
