Desire Poem by elvashira silvertongue

Desire

Rating: 4.5

I am careful to say these words,
Within the very depths of my soul
These words transpire.
In the unending abyss of my torchered black heart,
You are all i desire.
The fantasy am i the reality you,
Thoughts of us for all eternity is all i pursue.
In the unending abyss of my torchered black heart,
You are all i desire.
I am the light now tainted by dark,
You drove your sharp dagger of lies within my heart.
I lay here broken and bleeding on the floor,
But for your smile your laughter my heart did sore.
In the unending abyss of my torchered black heart,
You are all i desire.
So I'll bow out and leave you your peace.
I lay in a cold hole in the ground under you're feet.
The words you whispered so sofly to me
'Forever and eternity' forever marks the place of my rest,
I wasn't enough i wasn't the best.
So with a final adieu i these last words on my breth
Within the very depths of my soul
These words transpire.
In the unending abyss of my torchered black heart,
You are all i desire.

You have a great name. I've never heard the name ELVASHIRA before but when I say in my mind silently, even more when I say it out loud, it plays out like a musical melody. As for the second name SILVERTONGUE (which I assume you chose for yourself) your poem DESIRE fully merits it. This poem stunned me with its candor, absolute commitment, fearlessness, and f-i-d-e-l-i-t-y to DESIRE. Four times you say, no that word is too pale for your silver-tongued voice, - four time you proclaim: You are all i desire and your honesty and commitment and total surrender to desire burn with the fire of TRUTH. This degree of emotion confers greatness on its object, that is, the one you desire with every atom of your being. I can say nothing about the details leading up to your adieu, I only know the sheer quality of your feeling, which reaches the stars and pulls them down to earth, so that we your readers can feel the illumination and splendor of DESIRE as you experienced it and embodied it in this poem you posted today. Bless you for sharing such an intimate experience with us. Your courage, the depth of your feelings, the truth of desire you embody - these are all wonderful gifts you have shared with us. Do we deserve them? You clearly think we do. Once again let me affirm - your poem blesses us, because it shows us our greatness as human beings, for whom desire is the highest mystery, the energy of our existence, the goal of all our striving.
