Desperate Poem by Kathryn Cox

Desperate

Rating: 4.3

Overwhelming feelings of regret and hurt fill me with the sanity I need to be calm.
The possibility of being calm stays slim and I have judged to quickly.
Mistakes are things I don’t make,
But I still regret my decision.
And yet it was meant to be.
I have learned that the little things count,
And they are the ones I have overlooked.
With these thoughts and feelings I have learned to forget.
I have love, and need no more.
I have hope and strength, and can accept none.
Does this hope and strength fill my desires?
No. I will sulk until I know.
Know the true reasons,
know the true feelings-because I have none.
