Desperate Denial Poem by Nalini Jyotsana Chaturvedi

Desperate Denial

Rating: 5.0

State of denial
Where everything vile
Still looks so perfect
Still looks sterile

Patterns in life
Repeat and always cheat
No lessons learnt
I got to retreat

There is just no hope
No friends and no plans
My life has changed much
Alone stranded on an island

Why do I reach out
Despite all this I have seen
A small spark of expectation
Wants to believe in unseen

All you need is a spark and the right tinder to make a fire.
