Destiny Perceived Poem by Chris Townsend

Destiny Perceived

Rating: 5.0

Lowly I am in a space made for one,
Head bowed, nearly done,
As the cold winter blueness dressed pretty in white,
As the people lie alone in a crowd, dark forlorn into the night,
So cast your shadow let me lie here on the floor,
I can see an opening a hole in the door,
I rest my head in my hands my breath shallow and grey,
I can see daylight but here I know is my place to stay,
My adventures finish as I lay here in my home,
Strong walls against the world, nowhere I wish to roam,
I watch as my children grow into independent security bound kids,
Then I know I have fulfilled my destiny to be part of this…
