Full Speed Poem by Chris Townsend

Full Speed

Rating: 5.0

Racing towards oblivion I see hard times
As they race into my trail,
I am long since past screaming
I fear no evil no wind into westward sail,

Don’t ask me to feel all I can sense
Is what used to be,
For now infinitum, I destroy all before
I have to race onward, destination infinity,

A false sense of accomplishment
Every time I quit,
I see another horizon disappearing,
A knotted stomach deep in my pit,

So onward faster deeper than
I ever cared to go,
One more town one more place
One god forsaken show…
