Destiny's Child Poem by Rebecca Wiles

Destiny's Child

You have it your way,
I'll just let it be.
We're all on a road now
where it's too dark to see.

Wondering whats waiting,
at the end of the line.
The beginning of a new age,
or the end of time?

Chorus:
Is it freedom we're seeking
or the past come to be?
Or a prophet still speaking
about a vision to see?

Each day goes by
with a hope and a smile.
And another new wrinkle
from the next passing miles.

Time comes and goes
like a calender page.
While wars carried out
against the people's outrage!

When will it end
and peace time prevail?
Will we live in beauty,
or our we on the edge of hell?

Only we can change our path
we're right at the gate.
Let's take back our destiny
before it is too late!

I was singing along to your poem...and I really enjoyed it! I thought the fourth and fifth stanzas were very cleverly written. The last stanza is memorable It stays with you! Great job. Top marks from me! -Michael
