Detained And Treated Poem by Heath Gunn

We gather round in our groups,
of four, or eight, or twelve.
As into human behaviours,
and brain functions we delve.
Our constant search for answers,
definitions, facts, and stats.
Lead us to share out info,
on our patients, like college rats.
They're caged up for their treatment,
to help them function well.
To fit into society,
help save them, from their hell.
But our lack of understanding,
of truly what's inside.
Will drive us onward in our quest,
for the answers that we strive.
So will we find our answers,
from research and all our stats?
And help them all live better lives,
our caged up college rats.
