Devotion is important

Devotion is important
And not anything else.

Be serious and sincere

A poet of love and nature.

I know your activities are
Liberal and ever laudable.

I would agree with you depending on the intent of the devotion. Because no good reasons do exist. A devotion to maim, harm, hurt or destroy is an act that should never occur. Yet it does all the time. Good thought provoking poem. (Report) Reply

poet Henry David Thoreau

My books I'd fain cast off, I cannot read,
'Twixt every page my thoughts go stray at large
Down in the meadow, where is richer feed,
And will not mind to hit their proper targe.
