Dialogue On A College Campus Poem by Hans Ostrom

Dialogue On A College Campus

“Excuse me. Are you in philosophy? ”
“Yes.”
“What are we doing today? ”
“Not much. We just talked about reality.”
“Wait a minute. Did I miss class? Oh my God I
missed class. Is class now? ”
“No. We just had it. But don’t worry.
A lot of people were sick.”
“Oh good. I don’t feel so bad now.”
“The prof said we’d finish with
reality Wednesday.”
“Cool.”

I think you have caught the tone of the 'Now! ' generation (if it still exists - I'm too old to know.)
