Dictionary Poem by Christopher Tye

Dictionary

Dictionaries are needed by bad spellers like me,
Inclusions and pronunciations,
Clearing up the differences,
Their and there always confuse,
International differences in spelling,
Over time grey to gray and colour to color,
Notations scribbled in the margins,
Abbreviations and compounds are words,
Really glad I didn't have to compile it,
Years of evolution and development.
