Different Now Poem by Jessica Elizondo

Different Now

Rating: 5.0

When does a smile become akward, then go extinct?
Why does a simple conversation become rare and unheard of?
When does the friendship we shared go down the drain?
Maybe its because I needed to leave, or maybe because sometimes I think you secretly wanted me to.
Why does the look in your eyes change when you see me?
Am I not the same?
These questions are questions that don't matter anymore.
We don't need to talk, don't look at me or wave.
I don't want to start this cycle over again,
I don't want to cave.

Memories of the past will stay with us, our lesson learned, never forgotten in life. God is always with us especially in the difficult times in life when all seems lost to us. Intense and emotional poem, thank you for sharing it. RoseAnn

sometimes the past is hard to let go of 'cause we dont know what the future holds. just keep your focus on the future God has for you and let that become your hope. Jeremiah 29: 11 (not untirely sure on the 11, but ill check and get back to you.) 'For I know the plans I have you, ' declares the Lord, ' plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a new future.'
