Diner Conversation Poem by Christian Connor Schwantes

Diner Conversation

How do you know when you’re in love?
Is it when your thoughts become simple? Imagine, not being simple
Fun that freedom brings, but their eyes bring you to stay
With your heart disobeying, your mind keeps replaying

Misled by their tone
Controlled by your phone
So you sit there and wait, your fingers hesitate
