Disgusting Love And Care Poem by Haidee ( )

Disgusting Love And Care

They tell me they love me,
They tell me they care,
But they hug him and kiss him while I'm there.

They tell me to be good, smart, and get good grades,
While they tell him to have a great day.

I come home with straigh A's and they say just it's great,
While he comes home with straigh F's and they even celebrate.

I tell them my dreams and they say to 'keep dreaming'.
He tells them his dreams and they say he'll be whatever he wants to be.

They tell us to always tell them how we feel, so i say they don't understand me and they always end up laughing at me.
He tells them he feels the same and they stay quiet and listen to what he has to say.

They tell me they love me,
They tell me they care,
But everytime I hear that I end up whishing I wasn't there.

I wrote this poem while I was reading a book that was about a girl that felt that her parents didn't like her but did like her brother. I stopped in the middle of the book and I tried to imagine myself in her shoes. I went to the back of the book and just wrote my poem there. I put whatever came to my mind and I didn't even change anything. I wanted it to be just like I first wrote it. Hope you like it.
