Dishonest Fruit Poem by Randy McClave

Dishonest Fruit

If you are innocent you have nothing to hide
You have nothing to cover up inside,
Your life and your dealings is an open book
You don't care where or when if anyone takes a look.
Of no one is an innocent person ever afraid
Never in guilt or immorality will they want to wade,
They are of their own actions and of their own deeds
In truths gardens they are never seen as weeds.
An innocent person is always honest and tells the truth
They never need to be investigated by any sleuth,
They are always honest and forthcoming with what they said or done
And they never runaway or hide from anyone.
If you are innocent you don't scream that you're taking the fifth
No matter where you have been or who you were with,
You don't need to hide anything or need to ever cover up
You want to be visible and clear as clean water in a cup.
An innocent person is always believed and trusted
A guilty person is always known and busted,
An innocent person has nothing to ever disguise
He is known by the fruits of his labors and not by dishonesty and lies.
