Displays Of Affection Poem by Jim Boone

Displays Of Affection

Public or off-screen
Tell a lot about our character
Whether we are one or have any

Youthful displays are laced
With eagerness and fun
Aged displays shout out
Demands and non-commitment
To anything but the act of getting off

I came to the clinches with the intent
Of infusing the clincher with love
Pure, sensual, hot and uncomplicated:
Walked away when he felt it
For fear that I would also

And so, aficionados of such displays
Another dumb ass was born and
Reborn with each encounter:
That being me, myself, and I.

“Cuddle up a little closer
Love be mine / Cuddle up and
Be my little clinging vine”
