Dreams Poem by Jim Boone

Dreams

</>That perch on the edge
Of youthful consciousness
During our waking hours
Ignite imagination and
Give us poise to navigate
All the anger and frustration
Of daytime dilemmas
As life unfolds
And moves us toward
Or away from
Our day dreams.

The dreams that return us
From night time sleep
And out-of-body journeys
To the confines of humanity
Are labeled frightful ‘nightmares’
Or strange work related confusions
And lost-in-the-past maze travels
To the awakening of another day
Of obstacles, choices and resolutions.

“Beautiful dreamer, wake unto me”
