Divine Conquest Poem by Cynthia Buhain-baello

Divine Conquest

The Son did not just ransom us
Through the Cross by His blood,
The transaction was sealed as precious-
An eternal purchase made by God.

He put His Spirit as a deposit
Infinite and irrevocable,
The Price He paid, none can forfeit-
He owns us and He is able!

The mystery lies in Him dwelling
In us and there works His will,
Victory gained not by our doing-
But God in us, His purpose to fulfill.

We cannot let go, nor will He leave
Nothing in creation can ever come
To separate us and all who believe
God is within us, like Christ we become!
