Diwali Poems: Diwali Night Sky! ©

Daylight is fading, twilight comes dancing,
Now is the time for dancing, romancing!
Sky draws a black veil, to welcome the dark,
And slowly but surely, the stars start to spark!

And pretty they are, in purple and blue,
tasteful and silent, from my point of view;
Lost in my thoughts, I start to star gaze,
when all of a sudden, the skies are ablaze...

in flashes of red and orange and green!
The prettiest shades that I've ever seen!
Explosions of colour, light up the skies,
returning the sparkle to each of my eyes!

Fountains of fire, lights streaming, cascade,
Tonight, the stars must bow down and fade...
