Lanterns floating in the night sky,
gliding on a breath and whim;
Lilting to the clouds on high,
to the chanting of a hymn.
Lanterns leading us above,
to a high celestial star;
Promise of a Divine love,
Shining beacon from afar.
Lanterns casting out all grief,
fleeing shadows melt away;
Enlightening with sweet relief,
turning darkness into day.
What sweet offering can we make?
Let's spread some light for Heaven's sake!
