Do Not Pity Me Poem by DOMINIC PREMPEH

Do Not Pity Me

I saw the lies in her eyes the very first day I met her
I felt the deceit in her heart when I proposed love
I sensed the spite in her voice when she first spoke
I had fallen in love, and overlooked all

Do not pity me, I need not that
I wouldn’t have taken your words
Let me get drown in my tears
I’ve wasted my years and messed my days
