Do You Remember When Poem by Nom Nom Nom

Life is learned by doing our mistakes over and over again
that's why we always say 'do you remember when...'
we love the past; it's the only thing we truly know
we dream of it; as we fall asleep on our pillow
It makes us smile; it makes us sad
it makes us go completely mad

Do you remember when we went out for picnics?
or all of our funny tricks?
funny times we shared; and I hope more to come
it builds who we become
gives us the wanted freedom
even when sometimes we feel numb
the past is our blanket; the futures our pillow
it comforts us when we're ready to get up and go

I love to say
when I had a full; beating heart
and couldn't wait for a new day
I was naturally high; and loved the clouds
I stood out in crowds
the past makes me happy; makes me strong
but the mistakes I've done; yes they were wrong
they were fun; bit by bit
I loved every minute of it
the future scares me; but I stand high on my two feet
because a challenge to me is something so sweet
I don't lose unless I give up and leave
I always have a new trick up my sleeve
