Don'T Poem by Jim Boone

Don'T

Walk out that door
Then try to get back in

Don't wash your hands
While trying to make mine dirty.

Don't leave it up to me
Then demand an accounting
Don't assume
Because we're on separate paths
Our relationship can't work.

Don't think of the ties that bind
Think of the freedom
That connects.
