Don't Add Still In "I Love You" Poem by Hebert Logerie

Don't Add Still In "I Love You"

Don't call to say: "I still love you"
That's no good, that sounds cuckoo.

Don't use steel, iron, copper
Or even gold on the glass burner
Leave out still, which changes
The meaning. It sounds many charges
Are pending, you're not happy
And I feel awkward, and uneasy
It suffices to say: "I love you".
So I can be jolly and anew.

Don't add still in "I love you"
This can spoil our tofu.

When you shout or utter
"I still love you"
I feel that the burner
Was not clean or new
Something is not right
Somewhere there is a fire
Things need to be out-of-sight
Deep inside the dryer.

Simply say to me: "I love you"
So I can feel happy and anew.
