Don, T Believe The Hype Poem by Brian Reaves

Don, T Believe The Hype

In life it is a given, sometimes we make mistakes, but when the choice is others, it's always give or take.
So how can I be humble, when life is so unkind, and how can I believe the press, when sources are hard to find.
Watch the way you want to, but remember what you see, Believe half of what you hear but nothing on T. V.
The box is called a television, so tell it like it is, and in this world of fake believe, they tell you how to live.
Even shows of reality, are based upon deceit, because what they do is lure you, to tune into next week.
So join our series each week my friend, I heard the song awhile, they guarantee you pleasantry, and even a little smile.
I hit the button on the remote, and quickly the channel changed, the more things looked the same.
The seven stranded castaways I saw a week ago, must've gotten rescued, because I seen'em on this show.
The news is even funny, in what they bring to light, so speak your peace and never sleep, Don't Believe The Hype'.
So I just kept Fliipin, and Flippin, and then I flipped again, I think flipped and flipped so much, I flipped it to End.
