don't funk with my heart

don't funk
with my heart

it's a fragile
thing

i wonder
what would you say
if i took you home?

don't funk
with my heart

it's a fragile
thing

i wonder
what would you do
if i said i love you?

don't funk
with my heart

it's a fragile
thing

i wonder
what would you think
if i said you belong to me?

don't funk
with my heart

it's a fragile
thing

i wonder
what you would want
if i said i was yours?

don't funk
with my heart

it's a fragile
thing

i wonder
what you would say
if i asked you?

i will no longer wonder
because today as i left the bar
i asked my unanswered questions

and you
decided
not to

funk
with my heart

and you said
'love is a fragile
thing
and even though
i've tried to squelsh it
my fragile heart
has blossomed with
love for you'

so we went home
and
my unanswered questions
were
finally answered.

Poem of the Day

poet Alfred Lord Tennyson

It little profits that an idle king,
By this still hearth, among these barren crags,
Match'd with an aged wife, I mete and dole
Unequal laws unto a savage race,
