Don'T Shut Me Out Poem by Pamela O. Rucker

Don'T Shut Me Out

You're a part of my life so please don't shut me out
My love for you is strong, there should never be any doubt
You said you don't need your family, you want us to leave you alone
But how would you feel tomorrow if you were awakened and we were gone
We all do things in life that we will one day regret
There should be enough love in our heart to make us forget
I've always heard a saying that blood is thicker than water
The Master gave me a heart of forgiveness, I'm the clay, He's the Potter
Whatever the situation is that's tearing this family apart
I choose not to take a side, I will not break ones heart
When I think of you with no family by your side
I want to try and reach you but from everyone you hide
But this I want you to know, If you get lonely and need a friend
I'm not a judge, nor a gossip, I'm just a sister who will love you till the end
