Don'T Shut Your Eyes Poem by Alley Breines

Don'T Shut Your Eyes

your eyes close,
The earth revovles,
The animals roam,
The cars crash.

The oceans roar,
The people cry,
He turns his back,
Without a pause.

You watch him leave,
Time rushes by,
Not enough to think.

You wonder why,
You closed you're eyes,
For that last time.
