Double-Edged Blade Poem by Lesa MRK

Double-Edged Blade

Rating: 5.0

Love tender, yet forbidden,
Gentle desire, growing in your eyes
Alight with stormy passion
Aglow like starry skies.

Be it not of love-
I would not long for your kiss.
And be it not out of necessity-
Your presence would I not miss.

Love lost, but never forgotten,
Taken by the shadows of your heart.
Fear and anger standing between us-
It's double-edged blade tearing us apart.

Excellent Poem Lesa, You have a way with expressing yourself. It makes the reader want to comment. Great emotions, I just don't think I have ever been in love or maybe I went through to much to feel like I have been in love. I think when you get hurt after awhile nothing matters. Anyways great poem.

It's sad how anger can tear people apart. Lovely poem, Lesa
