Dream

Forgotten,
Your lost metaphors
Try to knock
Down the walls
Of memory's subconscious,
Without knowing why.

Why, indeed?
That's the way it goes,
Making do
With nothing
But your own experience,
Reinterpreted.

Nice metaphor, metaphors (with cognition) knocking down walls of the subconscious but being unsure of their motivation. Entirely human, personifying how the mind works and how at the end of the day each of us is entirely alone in grappling with our experiences in life and our perceptions of them. (Report) Reply
