Dream: A Sojourn Poem by Ankur Surin

Dream: A Sojourn

Lid the light,
curl up on the sheet
and breathe the night.
Grab a pillow,
seek refuge,
stick your ears,
find a cotton jingle.
Miss your love?
Now mind your tears.
Nurse you pain;
sleep it off!
Hum a dream with your sleepy
smiling wide eyes.
Latch on to the wagon,
take a ride.
Come back when
the day peeps
through your eye-lids,
and tell me if you
are in love again.
