Dream Away (2004) Poem by David Joel Rodriguez

Dream Away (2004)

Rating: 3.5

Another day I savor the outside.
Can not avoid such a beautiful today,
Contradicting if or when I hide.
Go speeding on the highway,
Enjoying this luxuriant ride.

Sticking my hand out the window,
Dividing the wind with my fingers,
Having a good day; no one needs to know.
Finally I arrive to the river.

Not a soul's soul in sight...
Not even a bird do I hear.
Must have chosen a very good site.
Good day for 'us', I must get out of here.

Slowly, I open my eyes...
I see the world that I'm in,
not being my size.
