Dream Of Torment (Dream Of Hell) Poem by David Lomenick

Dream Of Torment (Dream Of Hell)

Rating: 5.0

I walk towards the gate,
a gate so beautiful but do I dare explore?
The answer is yes,
and everything,
every worry vanishes in my every step.
when walking through these gates,
I see a transformation of the beauty
I thought would have been there.
Everything turns black and then red,
'SWOOSH'
I feel a breeze from above,
I look up.
A hellish creature aiming for a meal.
the beak ten feet long,
and a wingspan too long to tell,
eyes red as blood and slitted.
The gates I thought were heavenly,
the gates have been a trick,
a trick from the demon that conquers all,
that demon they call SATAN has lured me in,
in to the place where torture never ends and the dead die twice.
