Dreaming Of You Poem by Mary Rodriguez

Dreaming Of You

Does strength come from our greatest fears?
Building us up from our tears?
One magical star in the evening sky
Holds its own where angels fly
Burning bright in the midnight blue
Holding the dreams that I dream of you
You are the one I dream of at night
It's your face I see when I close my eyes tight
I hope to be the one that takes your breath away
The one that fills your thoughts as you go about your day
Every time I see you, I long for your loving embrace
I hold you tightly as I tenderly kiss your face
My heart swells whenever you're near
The thought of losing you is my greatest fear
I believe in a second chance
One filled with deep romance
Dreams do come true
I made a wish and then I had you
No matter how far you are from me
Your close in my heart and forever will be
May you always feel the love I have for only you
Know everything I feel for you is true
You are the one that holds the key to my heart
I gave it to you from the very start
