Complicated
You're in my every thought and prayer
All things with you I want to share
In dark times and in light
Everything with you just seems right
You're the one I hold most dear
It destroys me to know you are filled with such fear
Things are complicated, I know you feel unable to leave
When the time is right you'll know, for now just breathe
I feel so useless, unable to console
My one true love, my heart and my soul
I pray peace and joy will flood your heart
Like the joy you had from the start
Brighter days lie ahead
Try not to give in to dread
You make the world a better place
With just one smile from your gorgeous face
You're so smart, compassionate and kind
Special people like you are so hard to find
It seems like it's been an eternity
Since I held you close to me
I am yours and you are mine
We'll be together again in due time
You're the best part of me and I hope you can see
Nothing else matters but your happiness to me
i wonder. where is he/she going? ? ? ? military? prison? to take care of pressing family matters in another part of the country/world? ? ? i like the poem. it reads very well. to MyPoemList. but i think lie is preferred to lay in this: Brighter days lay ahead. even i have sometimes not been sure which form of lie or lay to use. bri :)
