Dreams For Life Poem by Emilee Tetherow

Dreams For Life

As the sun slips behind the horizon
The clouds turn to stars.
Crickets sing,
Fireflies light the night.
Don't let natures beauty decive you,
For they lurk in the shadows waiting to drink.
Thinking your safe in your room
you close your eyes and dream.
Your dreams fill with doom,
And through your body,
Your blood flows like a stream,
Luring them to your window.
Dreaming, you don't know they're there.
For your dreams keep your alive,
Until your dreams turn dark.
When they get dark,
You never wake up.
