Dreary Poem by Marilyn Shepperson

Dreary

Rating: 5.0

Everything looks so untidy
The flowers are over, the summer is gone
With all its warm, bright, paintbox days
The leaves on the trees are a mixture of colour
But most of them are now brown and fallen
So there's a damp, dark carpet on the ground
Overhead the sky is a uniform grey
Haven't seen the sun for many a day
The end of autumn is a dreary time

How well you have painted, and in so few words, the dark, dreary days of late fall! I feel the dread of winter just around the corner! Beautifully done.
