Drifting

I am drifting along this hazy sea
Too close to the shores of reality
And I'm ready to scream and jump over the edge
I got to swim away from the confusion
From harsh days and long nights
Into this sea of dulled illusions that I've created for myself
So the days don't hurt so bad
Drift away
Free me from the realness of what has come
This is me.

poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

I heard the bells on Christmas day
Their old familiar carols play,
And wild and sweet the words repeat
Of peace on earth, good will to men.
