Dyeing Poison Arrow Frog - Lincoln Park Zoo Poem by Ima Ryma

Dyeing Poison Arrow Frog - Lincoln Park Zoo

I am a frog found in Brazil,
Where human tribes do also live.
On arrow tips these humans will
Dip in poison my skin does give.
Also I'm rubbed on parrot skin,
So that colors are multi dyed,
When the feathers grow out again,
Filling the humans with weird pride.
Dyeing poison arrow is thus
The name the humans gave to me -
A frog that causes all this fuss.
My name's longer than my bod be.

The humans at Lincoln Park Zoo
Are not as weird with stuff they do.
