Dying In Different Ways Poem by Sheena Blackhall

Dying In Different Ways

Rating: 5.0

Hanged by a rope
Smothered by a pillow
Gas leak: no hope

Plane crash or sniper
Beaten to a pulp
Smoke inhalation
Death in a gulp

Decapitation
Machinery mangled
Stabbed, shot or knifed
By a murderer strangled

Electrocuted
Axed in the head
Starved / dehydrated
No water. No bread

Killed by a landmine
Crushed by a train
Drowned in a tsunami
Through flooding or rain

Bitten by a scorpion
Chewed by a shark
Clawed by a tiger
Or a wolf in the dark

Choking on food
Nut allergy- oof!
Crashed in a motor car
Fallen from a roof

Alcohol poisoning
Frozen in the snow
Caught in an avalanche
Chemical spill…oh no!

Dropped down a lift shaft
Fallen off a cliff
Sunk in a sink hole
Gone without a sniff

Bitten by a cobra
Gored by a bull
Killed by a rocket
Murdered with a stool

An ice rink cracking
A misfiring toaster
A drug-induced overdose
A crashing roller coaster
Ant bite, or spider
Crocodile or gator
Crushed to a mush
By a boa constrictor

Trampled by an elephant
Thrown from a horse
Felled by a football
A bomb or a punch

Dead by asbestos
From mercury or mushroom
From arsenic or cyanide
From heart attack BOOM

Radiation's nasty
Weedkiller's cruel
Cancer or cirrhosis
Boxing match or duel

So many ways there are
To bid adieu to life
Bonsoir, farewell
To trouble and strife!
