Dying Inside Poem by K J

Dying Inside

Rating: 5.0

Words that coalesce into a single dropp of water
Trailing indifferently down my face
Falling to the floor, I follow it
And lick it off the carpet
Can't let anything leave me again
Can't let anything go to waste
Surrendering to the emotion inherent
In every word you write
I am overwhelmed with passion
Emotions I can't fight
Each one comes to meet me
A face I cannot see
A hand I cannot feel
But which is there all the same
I gather them close to comfort me
Reminders that I am conscious in this reality
The dying eyes of a halcyon face
Dissipate slowly beneath my gaze
