We can say hardly
three names of our ancestors
few can say seven names maximum
beyond that we can't go
truly speaking we don't know
whose dynasty it is
but we want to get a son at least
not only as a child
but a successor of our dynasty
we treat him as a chirag
and add-on link in the family chain
for the continuation and widening it
but don't know who is the head
of our dynasty
daughter is not counted here
as the part of the chain
though history says
ancient india was having matriarchal society
and the head of every dynasty
was a woman
how it changed?
who ordered and approved this change?
no answer...
and this is the great embarrassment for us.
He doesn't know whose dynasty it is but wants a son at least Not only as his child but as the lamp of his dynasty Yes sons are that valuable in Indian context. Beautiful poem shared. Thanks and 10 for it.
