E V E R Y T H I N G Poem by Jim Boone

E V E R Y T H I N G

In human life has meaning.

An un-kept room signals
A disorderly existence.

Mishaps in tandem
come by personal invitation
of doubt in self.

A strong immune system
offers a rebuttal to
‘exit' lines and
thoughts all too human.

Mr. Bones will ‘inherit the earth'
while our soul-purpose is to
‘get it' without Divine intervention.

The sex-addict can no longer
‘pop-to' at the ‘sperm' of the
moment because ‘true love'
has been unable to navigate a crowd.

A book lover never goes to bed alone
or is ever lonely as long as there is a library.

‘Give' and ‘receive' are identical twins
who are unrelated to ‘take.'

‘Spring cleaning' can solve most human
difficulties in Summer, Winter and Fall.

A ‘mental collapse' means that we're on
the right ‘track' in the wrong ‘vehicle'
and it's time to pause, take self to task
and for a walk along a beach or in a park.

No matter how long we live, ‘respect'
comes in small doses and some of
the ‘crazies' will always show up.

It's time, once again, to clean my rooms
and lay on my ‘made' bed and sleep; to
persevere and if the eyes open in the
morning, keep on going. Know that
no matter where you are on your
life-path, or what obstacles
you may encounter, trust me:
It will always get better. We
are never, ever alone.

2011

Crazies: Bullies, bigots, politicians,
religious ‘bleeders', etc.
