Something like you should not be possible
Something so perfect should not exist
But here I am next to you
With my head pressed to your chest
This has to be impossible
For angels do not walk on land
Their feet do not touch the earth
Yet I feel you here holding my hand
I keep telling myself this cannot be real
That there is no way you are here in my life
But that smile of yours is intoxicating me
And you are distracting me with those eyes
I am attempting to keep touch with reality
While attempting to keep my heart in my chest
It's beating much too madly for you
You are making me a little short of breath
Please just stay here a while
I will allow myself to believe
That you are something real
And that you are actually here with me
Stop right where you are
Pause the moment to make it last
Now that you're here I don't ever want to think of us
As something of the past
