Earth Goddess Of The Night Poem by James Darwin Smith II

Earth Goddess Of The Night

Earth Goddess of the night
Walking amongst the green pastures
Into the valley of the unknown
Beyond the furthest reaches
Through the guile of time
Towards a mysterious destination
Where these indigo visions lose
Sight deadened by the mystery
Of whom you are
And who you may have become

Heart feeling behooved in finding you
Yet, it hurts even worse at each dead end
Still I go on
Somehow finding myself lost
Just like you

Will our paths ever cross again?
I feel so invisible

Too much time seems to pass us on by

Beauty, Are you still alive?
Do you even care that I care?
Would you rather I am dead inside?

Still there is hope
As warm feelings take over
Creating confusion
Upon these trying times
I still dream of you
Earth Goddess of the night

As you walk hand in hand with nature
Upon the green pastures
Sparking golden embers
Of a passionate source's sublime

My love, if only you were mine…
