Easter Around The Corner Poem by Odoh Okenyodo

Easter Around The Corner

Easter sits around the corner, her face sad
Unaware of when exactly was Christmas
Which was the season of the meal she last had
she lived on the Anti-Hunger cream

Easter's carrying a baby, a lifeless baby
Her memories are hazy but she's got them
She remembers love; she made love
And tried to keep love but hunger killed it
