Echo Of Silence Poem by Spiritwind Wood

Echo Of Silence

She heard in the night
the echo of silence
just a shadow of a ghost
to what he wanted most
but knew he could not give

Lost in his own sadness
surrounded by his loneliness
with him she could not dance
as he stood there alone

A jester now to his throne
tears in a twinkle of a starlight
his eyes close to the emptiness
of a fading light in the distance
as she reached for his love gone
that he knew he could not live
