Ecstasy Poem by Binoy Barman

Ecstasy

Rating: 5.0

All my sorrows wear the garbs of joy today
Yellow balloons burst into stream of colours
Can you listen to the music of south breeze
Can you smell the fragrance of cute flowers?

There is no moon or star in the sky tonight
The universe is illuminated only by her smile
Look! How flying kisses of darkness glimmer
Emotion breaking out of logic rests on pile.

Dream drums orchestra in the eyes of cricket
Just forget how many people died yesterday?
Time rides on rickshaw to see the hartal-torn city
Past, present and future between her eyes stay.

The sea is stormy now
The mountain volcanic
Silence will allow
Not any pearl to pick.

Is fancy lost in its own shadow?
Sari remained lying in the store
She has mixed with white snow
More I lose you, more I adore.

In this beautiful evening
Can I touch your hair?
In this moving obsession
Dare needs little care.

Golden grief, please come out of hide
I feel some strange move inside
The land was all dry tufts of grass and pain
It’s turning green again by sweetest rain.
