Effortlessly Left Ineffective Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Effortlessly Left Ineffective

When elected to select leaders,
Argue amongst themselves...
Over the best effective policies,
To endorse.
For the people to achieve,
A quality of life.
Done to do for them to receive.

First to be implemented,
And often approved to succeed.
Is a higher tax to pay.
To cover the expense,
Of an effort to endeavor it made.
Leaving that endeavor...
Effortlessly left,
Remaining to debate...
Who it is that should get the credit,
For policies to endorse them.
But not enforced,
To initiate for the benefit of the people.
